Weather Update: Partial Cloud Cover and Isolated Rain Expected Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Currently, the partial influence of westerly and local winds is causing changes in Nepal's weather. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are experiencing generally cloudy conditions, while other hilly areas remain partly cloudy. The weather in the Terai districts is currently mostly clear.

Looking at Saturday's forecast, the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province, along with other mountainous areas of the country, are expected to be generally cloudy. While the Terai region of Koshi Province and other hilly areas will see partial cloud cover, the rest of the Terai will remain clear. 

However, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in some places in the mountainous regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces. There is also a chance of light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi and other provinces.

Meteorologists have urged caution, particularly in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces, due to the possibility of strong winds today. This mixed impact of rain in the hills and wind in the Terai is expected to have a minor effect on daily life.
