President Paudel Addresses Parliament, Emphasizes Youth Empowerment and Good Governance

Kathmandu. President Ramchandra Paudel stated that the elections held on Falgun 21 were conducted in a clean, fair, and independent manner.

In his address to the joint session of the Federal Parliament on Friday, President Paudel extended his congratulations to the newly elected lawmakers and wished them a successful tenure.

President Paudel expressed his gratitude for the cooperation and restraint shown by everyone during difficult and sensitive times. He noted the significant participation of the younger generation in this parliament and expressed his belief that the government would prioritize youth representation.

Recalling the challenges posed by past popular movements and corruption, he emphasized the crucial role of parliament in drafting citizen-centric, welfare-oriented laws. He further expressed the view that true justice for the martyrs of the movements would only be served if the judiciary delivers swift and independent justice.

Acknowledging that much work remains to fulfill the spirit and essence of the constitution according to the people's aspirations, President Paudel pointed out that the desires of today's youth are different from the past. He stated that youth are eager to learn new things, seek employment opportunities, improve educational quality, and bring back those who have gone abroad.

No country can develop with a frustrated workforce: President

Emphasizing the need for efficient public service delivery, President Paudel expressed his confidence that the government would eliminate bureaucratic delays in public services.

He also expressed his belief in maintaining harmonious and transparent diplomatic relations with neighboring friendly nations. President Paudel stated that it is necessary to move forward united, not divided, by forgetting past bitterness, and to begin the journey of good governance, prosperity, and development.
