CAN Expands Number of Teams for Jaya Trophy Elite Cup

Kathmandu. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has increased the number of participating teams in the Jaya Trophy Men's Elite Cup. CAN has decided that a total of six teams will participate in this tournament starting from the upcoming season.

According to the previous arrangement, only the top four teams from the Prime Minister Cup One Day National Cricket Tournament were eligible to play in the Jaya Trophy. CAN stated that the number of participating teams has been increased to six starting from the next edition to make the game more competitive and provide more opportunities for players.

According to a press release issued by CAN spokesperson Chumbi Lama, this provision will be implemented from the upcoming season.
