Minister Pokharel Announces Zero Tolerance Policy Against Harassment in Educational Institutions

Kathmandu. Minister of Education, Science, and Technology, Sasmita Pokharel, has stated that a 'zero tolerance' policy has been adopted against any form of harassment and exploitation in educational institutions.

Minister Pokharel shared this information through a status update on Facebook on Wednesday.

She stated that this special mechanism has been put into operation to take any incidents of oppression or harassment faced by students seriously, to listen to such complaints directly, and to immediately initiate legal and administrative action.

Expressing a commitment to keeping the identity of the victim or the informant completely confidential and secure, she has requested all students to provide their details without hesitation through the link.

Minister Pokharel also mentioned that active participation and cooperation from everyone are expected in the government's campaign to create a safe educational environment.
