CPN (UML) MP Nita Ghatani Demands Withdrawal of Cases Against KP Sharma Oli

Kathmandu. CPN (UML) MP Nita Ghatani has pressured the government to immediately withdraw the cases filed against party chairman KP Sharma Oli. Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Wednesday, she strongly criticized the government, alleging that the cases were filed based on political vendetta.

MP Ghatani claimed that the government has filed cases against Chairman Oli in violation of the spirit of the Constitution and the law. Speaking in Parliament, she said, 'I strongly demand that the government immediately withdraw the cases filed against our party chairman KP Sharma Oli. By filing such cases based on political vendetta, the government is seriously undermining political decorum and the spirit of the Constitution.'

She emphasized that the cases should be immediately dismissed in accordance with constitutional rights and the spirit of the law. Furthermore, she cautioned the government against acting in violation of the Constitution and the law. She argued that targeting the leader of the main opposition party out of political prejudice is detrimental to parliamentary democracy.
