Ministry of Foreign Affairs Conducts Briefing on Diplomatic Code of Conduct for Cabinet Ministers

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has provided training to all ministers in the government led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah regarding the 'Foreign Affairs and Diplomatic Code of Conduct'.

Prime Minister Shah's press expert, Deepa Dahal, informed that Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai delivered the presentation to all ministers during an event held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Wednesday.

According to Dahal, Rai provided a detailed presentation on the international environment, Nepal's international relations, the promotion of national interests, and Nepal's overall foreign policy.

During the session, Secretary Rai provided detailed information regarding the procedures, limitations, and diplomatic decorum that must be observed while conducting foreign policy.

Emphasizing the priorities of Nepal's foreign policy, the balance of relations, and the technical aspects of the diplomatic code of conduct, Rai also presented on topics ranging from basic etiquette to be followed during meetings with foreign officials to the mandatory compliance with the diplomatic code of conduct.
