Israel Backs US-Iran Ceasefire While Setting Strict Conditions

Tel Aviv. Israel has officially expressed its support for the two-week ceasefire between Iran and the United States, backing the move by US President Donald Trump. While welcoming the decision to temporarily suspend planned attacks on Iran, Israel has outlined specific conditions for its continued support.

According to a statement issued by the Israeli government, Iran must immediately open maritime routes and cease all forms of aggression against the US, Israel, and other nations in the region. Israel emphasized its full commitment to US efforts aimed at permanently ending the nuclear threat, missile attacks, and terrorist activities originating from Iran.

Israel also noted that the US has assured it that all these security concerns will be addressed in upcoming negotiations and that Washington remains committed to countering the Iranian threat. Israel believes that the collective security of the US, Israel, and regional Arab allies will be the primary agenda of future talks.

However, significant controversy has emerged regarding the scope of the ceasefire. Israel has clarified that Lebanon is not included in this two-week truce, meaning that military operations in Lebanon will continue without interruption.

This announcement has created widespread international confusion, as Pakistan and Iran had previously claimed that the agreement also encompassed Lebanon.
