Six drivers arrested in Kathmandu for driving under the influence of drugs

Kathmandu. Police have apprehended six drivers for operating vehicles under the influence of drugs, putting the lives of hundreds of passengers at risk on the road. 

The drivers were caught during a special inspection conducted today in front of the Ripumardan petrol pump in Wafal, Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 15.

Those arrested include three public bus drivers and three public microbus drivers. This operation was carried out by a joint team from the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, the Narcotics Control Bureau, and the Swayambhu Traffic Police Circle, with the assistance of a technical team from the Nepal Police Hospital.

Following the confirmation of drug use during the inspection, they have been sent to the Swayambhu Police Circle for further investigation and legal proceedings.
