ADB and World Bank Representatives Meet Newly Appointed Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle

Kathmandu. Arnaud Cauchois, Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for Nepal, and David Sislen, Division Director for the World Bank for Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, have held a courtesy meeting with the newly appointed Finance Minister, Dr. Swarnim Wagle.

During the meeting held on Sunday, representatives from the ADB and the World Bank congratulated Dr. Wagle on assuming the responsibilities of the Finance Minister and extended their best wishes for a successful tenure.

During the meeting, they expressed their commitment to continuing the long-standing collaboration for Nepal's economic development and prosperity in the coming days. On the occasion, discussions were also held on further strengthening the historical and robust partnership between Nepal, the ADB, and the World Bank.

Finance Minister Dr. Wagle noted that the support of multilateral donor agencies is crucial to Nepal's development priorities. He stated that coordination and collaboration will be made more effective in the days ahead.
