Zalim Baba Majar on backburner in lack of proper management

Nawalparashi – A shrine built over the grave of a revered Islamic figure at Belashpur in Paalhinandan Rural Municipality-3 in the western part of Nawalparashi district has been in shadow in lack of proper conservation and promotion. 

Locals complained that the Zalim Baba Mazar, a famed place among the Islamic populace in the district and surrounding, has been left unattended though Islamic people started visiting the place in bulk since seven years. 

According to Husain Ansari, the influx of people visiting this place soared when they started believing that visiting it would cure their various ailments. In addition, the place would also beckon people of similar faith from neighboring India as well. 

Drawing the attention of the concerned one, Ansari said that although many agencies had provided grants for the management and promotion of Zalim Baba Mazar, no concrete efforts have been made for branding of this place as religious site or touristic one.
