Netanyahu Claims Israeli Strikes Destroyed 70% of Iran's Steel Production Capacity

Kathmandu. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Friday that recent Israeli strikes in Iran have destroyed 70 percent of the country's steel production capacity.

Steel is a strategically vital material used in industrial and military production, including missiles, drones, and ships.

“Together with our American friends, we will continue to suppress the ‘terrorist regime’ in Iran. We are eliminating commanders, bombing bridges, and bombing infrastructure,” Netanyahu said in a video statement.

He added, “In recent days, the Air Force has destroyed 70 percent of Iran's steel production capacity.” “This is a major achievement in depriving the Revolutionary Guards of financial resources and the capacity to produce many weapons,” he said.

He claimed that Iran's two largest steel plants, the Khuzestan Steel Company and the Mobarakeh Steel Company, are out of operation due to US and Israeli airstrikes, and it would take months to reconstruct the plants.

In retaliation for the attacks on the steel plants, the Revolutionary Guards have launched missile and drone strikes on industrial areas in the region and Israel.
