FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Tickets Reach Record High Prices

Washington D.C. Tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup have gone on general sale, with FIFA setting the price for a final match ticket at $10,990. 

Spectators wishing to attend the final will have to pay up to $10,990. This price is considered one of the most expensive for a standard ticket in football history.

Previously, the joint bid proposal from the United States, Canada, and Mexico suggested a maximum final ticket price of $1,550. However, during the pre-sale for supporter club members in December, the highest price reached $8,680. The current general sale has seen that price increase further.

The most expensive ticket for the 2022 FIFA World Cup final in Qatar was approximately $1,604. Because FIFA has not released a clear structure regarding ticket pricing, it is difficult to determine the actual cost. This time, a 'dynamic pricing' system is being used, where ticket prices change at each stage based on demand.

When initial ticket prices were announced last year, they were criticized as a major deception. However, FIFA stated that a limited number of tickets were also made available for $60. 

The general sale, which opened for the first time on Wednesday, has provided a glimpse into the actual prices set by the organizers. This indicates that the cost for fans wishing to attend the upcoming World Cup will be significantly high.
