District Economic Census Office Urges Cooperation for Upcoming National Economic Census

Janakpurdham. The District Economic Census Office has urged local industrialists and business owners to ensure the success of the upcoming National Economic Census, scheduled to begin on Baisakh 2.

During a discussion program held on Thursday, the office emphasized that the economic census is crucial for formulating national policies for provincial economic development, urging businesses to provide accurate data.

On this occasion, Dhanusha's Chief District Officer Prem Prasad Luintel called for collective efforts, stating that private sector cooperation is indispensable for every state-led initiative aimed at national economic advancement.

Janakpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Surendra Bhandari stressed the need to provide fact-based business information. Drug Entrepreneurs Association President Pramod Agrawal stated that the government must be serious about resolving the problems faced by industries and businesses.

District Economic Census Office Chief Shivanarayan Mahato stated that the census will cover 18 sectors and will be conducted until Asar 7. In the previous economic census, there were 117,670 establishments recorded in Madhesh Province.
