Economic Census to Commence in Siraha from Baisakh 2

Siraha. An economic census is set to begin in Siraha starting from Baisakh 2.

The District Statistics Office provided information regarding the preparations and schedule for the census during a district-level awareness seminar held on Wednesday.

According to Chief Statistics Officer Bimal Yadav, the census will continue until Ashar 7.

The program, which is being conducted nationwide with the objective of depicting the objective state of economic development, will collect detailed information on all units, establishments, and businesses related to economic activities across the district.

Officer Yadav stated that the census will cover 18 types of major economic activities, including stone, sand, and mineral extraction, micro and large industries, construction, electricity production and distribution, water supply and irrigation, waste management, hotels and lodges, transportation, information and communication, wholesale and retail trade, banking and financial institutions, real estate transactions, and educational and health institutions. It has been reported that 60 enumerators will be mobilized throughout the district.
