President Trump Claims Success in Military Operations Against Iran

Kathmandu. US President Donald Trump has claimed that the ongoing military operations against Iran are nearing success. Addressing the nation from the White House on Thursday morning, Trump stated that US military objectives are being met and that the mission will be completed in the near future.

During his address, President Trump claimed that the war, which began a month ago, has broken Iran's military backbone. He asserted that the Iranian Navy has been neutralized, the Air Force has been reduced to rubble, and most of Iran's top leadership has been eliminated. According to Trump, Iran's missile and drone strike capabilities have been significantly degraded. 'America is winning, and this victory is much greater than before,' he said.

The President discussed 'Operation Midnight Hammer,' launched in June 2025 targeting Iran's nuclear program, stating that those nuclear facilities have been completely destroyed. Noting that Iran was on the verge of developing nuclear weapons, Trump described the nuclear deal made during former President Barack Obama's tenure as a major mistake. He remarked that he felt proud to have terminated that agreement.

Speaking on regional security, Trump assured Israel and Gulf nations that the US would never let them fail. Additionally, he urged allied nations to step forward and find the courage to secure the Strait of Hormuz themselves. Signaling that the US no longer requires the region's oil or security, he hinted at the potential withdrawal of American troops.

Regarding domestic politics and economic issues, Trump blamed Iran for rising fuel prices. Citing the example of Venezuela, he stated that the military operation to remove Nicolás Maduro was successful and that Venezuela is now a trade partner with the United States.
