Political Parties Convene at Singha Durbar to Discuss House of Representatives Session

Kathmandu. A meeting of the political parties represented in the House of Representatives is currently underway at the call of the Federal Parliament Secretariat. The meeting, held in the office of Federal Parliament Secretariat General Secretary Padma Prasad Pandey at Singha Durbar, is attended by 5 members from the Rastriya Swatantra Party, 2 each from the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML, and 1 member each from the Nepal Communist Party, Labor Culture Party, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party. 

The discussion focuses on how to proceed with the first session of the House of Representatives, which has been summoned by President Ram Chandra Paudel for tomorrow at 2 PM upon the government's recommendation. 

Participants from the Rastriya Swatantra Party include DP Aryal, Kabindra Burlakoti, Bipin Acharya, Samiksha Baskota, and Prakash Chandra Pariyar. Representing the Congress are Mohan Acharya and Urmila Thapaliya, while Guru Baral and Ganesh Thagunna are attending from the UML. Additionally, Barshaman Pun from the Nepal Communist Party, Aaren Rai from the Labor Culture Party, and Khusbu Oli from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party are present. Government representatives and officials from the Federal Parliament Secretariat are also in attendance. 

Six parties have secured representation in the House of Representatives following the election: the Rastriya Swatantra Party, Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, Nepal Communist Party, Labor Culture Party, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party. Independent candidate Mahabir Pun has also won the election from Myagdi.
