Nepal Police Club Defeats Koshi Province by Six Wickets in Prime Minister's Cup Cricket Tournament

Birgunj. In today's match under the Prime Minister's Cup One-Day National Cricket Tournament, Nepal Police Club defeated Koshi Province by six wickets.

Batting first in the match held today at the Narayani Stadium in Birgunj, Koshi Province was all out for 162 runs in 42.5 overs. Sujan Thapaliya scored 48 runs and Suman Shrestha scored 43 runs for Koshi Province. Dinesh Kharel took five wickets and Sagar Dhakal took two wickets for Nepal Police Club.

Chasing the target, Nepal Police Club scored 165 runs for the loss of four wickets in 33.5 overs. Mohammad Arif Sheikh scored 81 runs and Rashid Khan scored 73 runs in Nepal Police Club's victory. Bipin Kumar Mahato took two wickets and Dipesh Kandel took one wicket for Koshi Province. Dinesh Kharel of Nepal Police Club was declared the 'Man of the Match' today.

Ten teams, including three departmental teams Nepal Police Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, and Nepal APF Club, and seven provinces, are participating in the tournament. The winning team of the tournament will receive a prize of NPR 1 million and the runner-up will receive NPR 500,000.
