Legal Expert Dr. Subhash Acharya Tapped for Attorney General Role in Balen's Administration

Sources indicate that preparations are underway to appoint advocate Dr. Subhash Acharya, an expert in criminal law and highly regarded for his court practice, as the Attorney General in Balen's government.

Dr. Acharya has proven his professional competence by effectively arguing in some of Nepal's high-profile criminal cases. His practice is admired for his logical presentations, coherent legal analysis, and balanced perspective in court, leading him to be viewed as an outstanding legal practitioner in judicial matters.

Dr. Acharya has previously served as a legal advisor to both the Nepal Army and the Nepal Police. His experience with state security agencies is said to have matured his administrative and institutional legal understanding, which is considered a suitable foundation for the responsibilities of the Attorney General.

He has long been involved in teaching criminal law and has published various books in this field. Through his research and writing on the criminal justice system, judicial interpretation, and jurisprudence, he has made significant contributions to the legal sector, establishing him as a capable and trustworthy legal professional.

Dr. Acharya earned his doctorate from Tribhuvan University on the topic of "Judicial Limitations on the Interpretation of Criminal Statutes." He has previously been honored with the Prabala Janaseva Shree, Nepal Bidyabhushan Medal 'B', and the Outstanding Legal English Writing Award.
