ChandraGadhi Women's Gold Cup Football Tournament Scheduled for Baisakh in Jhapa

Jhapa. The ChandraGadhi Women's Gold Cup will be held at the Mechi Stadium in Bhadrapur from Baisakh 5 to 14. The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of Rs 1.1 million.

Rohit Subba, the chairman of the ChandraGadhi Youth Club, which is organizing the tournament, informed that 10 teams will participate in the competition. Teams from the three departments of Nepal—APF Football Club, Nepal Police Football Club, Tribhuvan Army Football Club—A Division clubs Church Boys United, Sankata Football, and one team from the organizer will be participating.

Furthermore, club chairman Subba stated that one club each from India and Bhutan have confirmed their participation. Regarding Nepali teams, the rule allows registration of up to four foreign players per team, with a maximum of three allowed on the field at any given time.

The Player of the Match in the tournament will receive a cash prize of Rs 11,000 and a trophy. The Best Player of the Tournament will receive Rs 50,000. The best players in various categories will each be awarded Rs 25,000. The organizers stated that the goal of holding this tournament is to establish the district as a hub for women's football and to prepare players who see a future in football to represent Nepal.
