Pedestrian Killed in Jeep Collision in Gulmi, Nepal

Gulmi. A pedestrian has died after being hit by a jeep in Chandrakot Rural Municipality. The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Tulsi Thapa, a resident of Chandrakot Rural Municipality-4, according to information provided by District Police Office Information Officer and Deputy Superintendent of Police Gangabahadur Saru.

The Safari jeep with license plate Lu1j 1834, traveling from Chandrakot towards Shantipura, struck Thapa while she was crossing the road at a place called Ripaha on Saturday evening. Thapa, injured in the jeep collision, was sent to Lumbini Medical College Prabhas, Palpa, after initial treatment at a local health facility.

Police stated that Thapa died last night during treatment. Police have taken the jeep driver, Jivan Fauadar, and the vehicle into custody.
