Protests Erupt Across Sudurpashchim Province Against Arrest of CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli

Dhangadhi. Protests were held across various districts of the Sudurpashchim Province on Saturday against the arrest of CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli. UML cadres took to the streets demanding the immediate release of Chairman Oli, terming his arrest as political vendetta.

UML cadres gathered in large numbers and chanted slogans in Dhangadhi, the temporary capital of Sudurpashchim. Demonstrators gathered at the main chowk of Dhangadhi, raising strong slogans against the government and demanding the unconditional release of Chairman Oli.

Similarly, UML cadres organized a protest rally in Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur. Addressing a corner meeting organized at Madan Chowk in Mahendranagar, UML leaders accused the government of adopting an authoritarian style. They also warned that the agitation would not stop until Oli is released.

UML cadres are also protesting in other hilly districts of Sudurpashchim.
