Home Minister Directs Against Special Treatment for VIP Convoys That Disrupts Citizens

Kathmandu. Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has directed that special treatment should not be given to ministerial convoys in a way that causes hardship to the citizens.

He gave this instruction to police personnel, including SSP Navaraj Adhikari, during an unscheduled inspection of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office on Saturday.

'We should not treat VIPs specially in a way that troubles the public. Traffic movement must be smooth for the citizens. We are servants of the citizens,' Minister Gurung said.

Gurung had directed that if ministers are in a hurry, they should leave on time, but they should not cause trouble to the general public in the name of VIP movement.
