CPN-UML Announces Protest Programs Following Chairman KP Sharma Oli's Arrest

Kathmandu. The CPN-UML Secretariat meeting has decided to set programs of struggle. The Secretariat meeting, held on Saturday immediately after the arrest of party Chairman KP Sharma Oli, decided on programs of struggle including the demand for Oli's immediate release.

CPN-UML leader Mahesh Basnet informed via social media that the meeting decided on struggle programs including firm legal and political strong resistance from the general public and civil society, protest demonstrations by people's organizations in the headquarters of every district today at 3 PM, and submitting protest letters to the Chief District Officer's (CDO) office with widespread demonstrations organized by the District Party Committee in every district tomorrow, Chaitra 15, at 12 PM.

According to leader Basnet, these are the decisions made on the struggle programs by the meeting- 

1. Firm legal and political strong resistance from the general public and civil society.

2. Protest demonstrations by people's organizations in the headquarters of every district today at 3 PM.

3. Submitting protest letters to the Chief District Officer (CDO) office with widespread demonstrations organized by the District Party Committee in every district tomorrow, Chaitra 15, at 12 PM.

4. Dialogue and cooperation with all parties in favor of democracy and the rule of law. Cooperation with civil society and the general public.
