Iran Responds to US 15-Point Peace Proposal via Intermediaries

Tehran. Iranian officials informed Tasnim News Agency on Thursday that Iran has responded to the 15-point US plan to end the war through unnamed intermediaries. Iran will now await a further response from Washington.

According to Pakistani officials, the actual content of the US plan was conveyed to Iran via Pakistan, but the specifics of the proposal have not been officially disclosed.

Tasnim, citing sources, reported that Iran's response to the 15 points proposed by the US was sent through intermediaries last night, and Iran has received confirmation that it is awaiting the other party's reaction.

Sources indicated that Iran responded with a five-point counter-proposal. These five points reportedly include ensuring the end of hostilities on all fronts, such as Israel and the United States withdrawing from the war, Iran receiving financial compensation, and the establishment of a mechanism to guarantee Israel stops fighting Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza.

Sources also indicated that Iran wishes for its sovereignty over the 'Strait of Hormuz' to be recognized.
