Sindhupalchowk hosts literary festival

Chautara –Sindhupalchowk, the district in Province 3, has hosted a province-level literary festival. The event "Sindhu Literary Festival and Province-3 Poetry Competition- 2075" was held on July 1 at the Martyr Memorial Building based in Chautara. Ten 10 poems, among 48, received from Kavrepalanchwok, Kathmandu, Dolakha, Ramechhap and inside from the district were shortlisted for the completion. 


Poem by Rojina Parajauli of Sindhupalchowk was adjudged the best and she won the cash prize of Rs 20,000 while Shital Thokar Tamang of Ramechhap won the second prize and bagged Rs 15,000, Nabin Sangharsha of Sindhuli clinched the third prize winning Rs 10,000 and Anamika Sajal of Kavre was awarded the consolation prize carrying a purse of Rs 5,000. 


Programme chief guest and member of Nepal Academy of Drama and Music, Ganesh Rasik, presented the awards to the winners. The event was jointly organised by Employees Reunion Center, Sindhupalchowk and Sindhu Literary Archive. Litterateur Basanta Prakash Sharma was there to grace the moment. He was felicitated by organizers, according to festival coordinator Kishma Kishore.---
