Avatar 3 to Stream on Disney+ Following Successful Theatrical Run

It has only been three months since Hollywood director James Cameron's science fiction film ‘Avatar: Fire and Ice’ (Avatar 3) was released in theaters. The film, which was successful in its theatrical business, is now set to be released on an OTT platform. The film will be available on the ‘Disney Plus’ OTT for international audiences starting March 31, 2026.

The film was produced at a cost of approximately $400 million. The film achieved commercial success by earning $1.49 billion at the box office. Due to the film's excellent making and technical aspects, it also won the award for ‘Best Visual Effects’ at the 98th Academy Awards (Oscars 2026). James Cameron's franchise is established as the highest-grossing film series in the world.

Director James Cameron is preparing to take this fictional world of Pandora further. After ‘Avatar 3’, fans are now waiting for ‘Avatar 4’ and ‘Avatar 5’. According to Cameron, the fourth film will be released in 2029 and the fifth film in 2031. ‘Avatar 3’ features veteran actors such as Kate Winslet, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Lang in lead roles.
