Koshi Province Falls to Karnali Province by 16 Runs in Prime Minister's Cup Cricket Tournament

Birgunj. In the ninth match of the Prime Minister's Cup Cricket Tournament, Koshi Province was defeated by Karnali Province by 16 runs. Chasing the target of 152 runs set by Karnali in the match held on Wednesday in Janakpur, Koshi was bowled out for 135 runs in 44.4 overs.

Deepesh Kandel scored 26 runs for the team. Shivansh Bajgai added 23 runs, and Suman Shrestha scored 20 runs. Dinesh Adhikari delivered a lethal spell to restrict Koshi cheaply, taking 5 wickets for 8.4 overs. Diwan Pun and Prakash Jaisi took 2 wickets each, while Dipendra Rawat took 1 wicket.

Earlier, Karnali, after winning the toss and electing to bat first, was all out for 151 runs in 39.1 overs. Bipin Shahi scored the highest 63 runs for the team. Similarly, Bipin Rawal scored 32 runs.

Prem Kamat took 4 wickets for Koshi, while Gyanendra Shrestha took 3 wickets. Sujan Thapaliya took 2 wickets, and Bipin Mahato took 1 wicket.
