Nepal Cricket Association Announces Preliminary Squad for ICC Women's Challenge Trophy in Rwanda

Kathmandu. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a preliminary women's squad for the ICC Women's Challenge Trophy scheduled to be held in Rwanda in April 2026. CAN issued a press release on Wednesday stating that a 29-member squad has been selected for the closed training camp.

According to spokesperson Chumbi Lama, the squad for this preliminary camp has been prepared with a mix of experienced and young players. The selected players include Bindu Rawal, Samjhana Khadka, Pooja Mahato, Indu Verma, Ruby Poddar, Rubina Chhetri, Kavita Joshi, and Kavita Kunwar. Similarly, Riya Sharma, Roma Thapa, Suman Bista, Anu Kathayat, Manisha Upadhyaya, Simana KC, Rajmati Airi, and Rachana Chaudhary have also made it to the team.

Other members of the squad include Khushi Dangol, Sudha Dhami, Kiran Kunwar, Alisha Yadav, Trishna BK, Kusum Godar, Sita Rana Magar, Sony Pakhrin, Sana Praveen, Laxmi Saud, Yashoda Bista, Anji Pathak, and Rama Budhathoki.

These players will now showcase their skills in the closed training camp to secure a spot in the final squad for the Rwanda tour.
