Bagmati Province Secures Dominant Victory Over Gandaki Province in Prime Minister's Cup Cricket Tournament

Bagmati Province achieved a resounding victory over Gandaki Province in the Prime Minister's Cup Cricket Tournament. Bagmati Province won by a massive margin of 170 runs in the match held at the Tallodul Cricket Ground on Tuesday.

Chasing a target of 294 runs, Gandaki Province was bowled out for just 124 runs in 31.5 overs. Although Arjun Kumal contributed 74 runs off 90 balls for the team, he could not save the team from defeat. 

Subash Bhandari scored 29 runs for the team, but no other player managed to score in double digits. Five players were dismissed for zero runs.

To restrict Gandaki cheaply, Rijen Dhakal took 3 wickets, while Sandeep Lamichhane and Ishan Pandey took 2 wickets each. Dayananda Mandal and Subash Khatri took 1 wicket each.

Earlier, Bagmati, having lost the toss and chosen to bat first, scored 294 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Ishan Pandey scored the highest 71 runs off 61 balls for the team.

Opener Ashutosh Ghirai scored 59 runs, while fellow opener Shubh Kanskhar scored 44 runs. Uttam Magar scored 30 runs, Bibek Magar scored 27 runs, and Captain Sandeep Lamichhane scored 26 runs.

Kamal Pariyar took 2 wickets for Gandaki. Bipin Khatri, Ankit Neupane, Sirbin Shrestha, and Subash Bhandari took 1 wicket each.
