Motorcyclist Dies After Collision with City Vehicle in Jhapa

Jhapa. A 50-year-old motorcyclist, Shukdev Ganesh, died after being hit by a vehicle (City) in Kachankawal Rural Municipality-4 here.

According to District Police Office Spokesperson Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, the motorcycle with registration number BR-11C-3071, traveling from Baniyani to Lodhabari, collided head-on with a City vehicle with registration number Pr-1-01-002B 6411 coming from the opposite direction last night. The accident left the driver Ganesh seriously injured.

Police stated that he was rushed to Om Sai Pathibhara Hospital in Bhadrapur for treatment, but doctors declared him dead immediately upon arrival at the hospital. Police have taken the City driver, 19-year-old local Saijan Miyan, along with the City vehicle and the motorcycle, into custody and are further investigating the incident.
