Four Ambulances Vandalized in Apparent Antisemitic Attack in London

London. Four ambulances associated with Jewish community healthcare services were set on fire in London, the capital of the United Kingdom. The Metropolitan Police in London has launched an investigation, treating the incident as a crime related to antisemitic hatred.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer strongly condemned the incident, calling it extremely shocking and horrific. Similarly, Health Minister Wes Streeting expressed relief that no one was injured and emphasized the need to stand united against antisemitic hatred. 

According to the London Fire Brigade, around 1:40 AM on Monday, four 'Hatzola ambulances' were found engulfed in flames on Highfield Road in Golders Green. Oxygen cylinders inside the vehicles exploded during the fire, the impact of which shattered windows in nearby buildings and flats.

Six fire engines and approximately 40 firefighters were deployed to control the blaze. Nearby homes were evacuated for safety, and about 30 local residents were moved to a safe shelter. Police stated that CCTV footage from the scene showed three suspected individuals approaching the ambulances and setting them on fire.
