Western Disturbance Influences Weather Across Nepal; Rain and Snow Expected in Mountainous Regions

Kathmandu. Currently, Western winds along with the partial influence of local winds are affecting Nepal.

According to the Department of Meteorology Forecasting, the hilly and mountainous regions across the country, including Koshi Province, are generally cloudy, while the remaining areas are partly cloudy. Moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning, and snowfall are occurring in one or two places in Koshi Province.

On Monday, the hilly and mountainous regions of the country will generally be cloudy, and the Terai region will be partly cloudy. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Sudurpashchim Province, and in a few places in the remaining hilly and mountainous regions.

The Department has requested the general public and all concerned bodies to obtain the latest weather information and exercise caution.
