APF Club Defeats Bagmati Province by 71 Runs in Prime Minister's Cup National Cricket Tournament

APF Club secured a victory against Bagmati Province in the Prime Minister's Cup One-Day Men's National Cricket Tournament.

In the match held on Sunday at the Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground in Mulpani, Kathmandu, APF defeated Bagmati Province by 71 runs. Chasing a target of 272 runs, Bagmati Province was bowled out for 200 runs in 45.1 overs, losing all their wickets.

For Bagmati, Bibek Magar scored 34 runs, while Uttam Magar contributed 26 runs. Subash Khatri scored 27 runs, and Rijen Dhakal remained not out on 20 runs.

In bowling for APF, Rohit Paudel and Abhishek Gautam delivered excellent performances, taking 3 wickets each. Additionally, Yuvraj Khatri, Nandan Yadav, and Kamal Airee took one wicket apiece.

Earlier, after losing the toss and being invited to bat first, APF posted a total of 271 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Asif Sheikh was the top scorer for APF, contributing a significant 114 runs. He scored 114 runs with the help of 14 fours and 3 sixes.

Sandip Jora provided an important contribution of 52 runs. Lokesh Bam scored 29 runs, Yuvraj Khatri remained not out on 26 runs, while Captain Rohit Paudel scored 9 runs. In bowling for Bagmati, Rijen Dhakal took four wickets, while Ishan Pandey dismissed two batsmen. Sandip Lamichhane and Sonu Devkota took one wicket each.

A total of 10 teams are participating in the tournament, including the three departmental teams Nepal Police Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, and Nepal APF Club, along with seven provincial teams.

The winning team of the tournament, which started yesterday, will receive NPR 1 million, while the runner-up will receive NPR 500,000.
