Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality to Host Fourth Edition of Chairman's Cup Volleyball Tournament

Pokhara. The Chairman's Cup Volleyball Tournament of Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality is set to take place starting from Chaitra 11. The fourth edition of the competition is being organized by the municipality's Sports Development Committee in Lahachok. The event will feature men's and open women's volleyball competitions at the rural municipality level across Gandaki Province.

The tournament will run until Chaitra 14. The municipality chairman, Min Bahadur Gurung, informed that the competition is being organized with the objective of producing local-level players. The municipality has announced that team registration fees will be waived to encourage maximum participation.

In the men's category, the winner will receive NPR 200,000, the runner-up NPR 100,000, along with a trophy and medals. The two losing semi-finalist teams will each receive NPR 25,000 in cash, informed Chief Administrative Officer Keshav Subedi.

In the women's category, the first-place team will receive NPR 60,000 in cash, the second-place team NPR 30,000, along with a trophy and medals. The remaining two teams that played in the semi-finals will each be awarded NPR 15,000. Furthermore, for the men's Chhello competition, the first prize is NPR 10,000, second prize NPR 5,000, third prize NPR 2,000, and a consolation prize of NPR 1,000 has been arranged.

Vice-Chairperson Sita Adhikari informed that in addition to the men's and women's volleyball competitions, men's Chhello has also been included this year. Teams wishing to participate in the volleyball competition must complete their registration by 3 PM on Chaitra 10.
