Drone Attack Sparks Fire at Fuel Tank Near Dubai International Airport, Flights Temporarily Halted

Dubai. A massive fire broke out in a fuel tank following a drone attack near Dubai International Airport on Monday morning. Authorities temporarily suspended flight services as a precaution following the attack in the area near the airport.

Immediately after the drone strike, panic spread among passengers and staff as a loud noise and flames were seen. According to the Dubai Media Office, civil defense teams were deployed to the scene immediately after the attack and brought the fire under control.

'A fuel tank near the airport was damaged due to the drone attack, which has now been completely brought under control,' the Media Office stated in a released statement. No reports of human casualties have been received so far in this incident.

The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority clarified that flights were suspended as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers and airport staff. Although no definite information was provided on when flight services would resume, it was stated that the airport would only become operational after technical and security checks. Hundreds of flights arriving in and departing from Dubai have been affected by the airport closure.
