Protests Erupt in Baglung Demanding Justice for Slain Teenager Inisha विक

Baglung. Protests were held in Baglung demanding justice for 16-year-old Inisha विक, who was raped and murdered.

The enlightened youth group held a demonstration on Thursday demanding an impartial investigation into the incident.

Participants lit candles for justice and carried placards with slogans such as 'Give Justice to Inisha विक', 'Hang the Rapist', 'Down with the Caste System', 'Take Action Against the Rapist', and 'Down with Patriarchy'.

Inisha, a resident of Gurabakote-6 Badakhola, Surkhet, was raped and murdered on the morning of Falgun 23 in the Janajagaran Community Forest near Shahid Park in Birendranagar-4. The victim's relatives filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Surkhet, on Falgun 25, alleging the murder followed a gang rape.

Police have arrested four individuals on suspicion of involvement in the incident. Police stated that all four arrested are under the age of 18. Surkhet Police had arrested one 16-year-old teenager on the afternoon of Falgun 23.

Police stated that three more individuals were taken into custody on Falgun 24 for further investigation.
