At Least 8 Killed in Airstrike on Beirut Coastal Area, Lebanon Reports

Beirut. At least 8 people have died in an airstrike that occurred in the coastal area of Ramlet Al-Baida in Beirut. It has been reported that another 31 people were injured in the incident. According to Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health, the attack took place around 1 a.m. local time on Thursday. The area is said to be a seashore and sidewalk where people displaced by Israeli attacks have been residing. Video published by the Reuters news agency shows shattered car windows, ambulances arriving, and a large number of people gathered on the seashore after the attack.

Meanwhile, Israel has stated that it carried out extensive airstrikes across Lebanon targeting structures associated with Hezbollah. According to Avichay Adraee, the Arabic-language spokesperson for the Israeli military, dozens of Hezbollah rocket launch sites were destroyed in the operation, and some members planning rocket attacks toward Israel were killed.

Israel also claimed to have conducted airstrikes on 10 buildings in the southern suburbs of Beirut, alleging they were being used as terrorist headquarters.
