One Dead, One Injured in Jeep-Motorcycle Collision in Sunsari, Nepal

Sunsari. One person died in a jeep accident in Koshi Rural Municipality-4, Sunsari, on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Amarlal Sah from Saptari's Bishnupur Rural Municipality-2, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Chandra Bahadur Khadka.

The jeep with registration number Sa 1 Cha 921, traveling from Inaruwa towards Koshi Barrage along the East-West Highway, collided with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction with registration number Madhesh Pra 06-001 Pa 0952. The motorcycle rider Sah and pillion rider 26-year-old Pushpa Sah were seriously injured in the collision.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Khadka informed that Amarlal died during treatment, while the other injured person, Pushpa, has been taken to Golden Hospital, Biratnagar, for further treatment. The jeep driver, 26-year-old Ranjit Chaudhary, has been taken into police custody.
