Atletico Madrid Dominates Tottenham with 5-2 Victory in Champions League Last 16 First Leg

Kathmandu. Spanish club Atletico Madrid registered a massive 5-2 victory over English club Tottenham in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16.

In the match played at their home ground, Atletico Madrid made an aggressive start and established their dominance in the first half. Julian Alvarez scored two goals for Atletico, while Marcos Llorente, Antoine Griezmann, and Robin Le Normand added one goal each.

Atletico took the lead in the sixth minute with a goal from Marcos Llorente, and Antoine Griezmann in the 14th minute and Julian Alvarez in the 15th minute increased the score to 3-0. Robin Le Normand scored the fourth goal in the 22nd minute, and Alvarez added his second personal goal in the 55th minute.

Meanwhile, Pedro Porro in the 26th minute and Dominic Solanke in the 76th minute scored one goal each for Tottenham, but it was not enough to avert the defeat. With this huge win, Atletico Madrid has built a significant lead ahead of the second leg, strengthening their chances of advancing to the next round.
