Accountability Monitoring Committee Demands Immediate Publication of Inquiry Commission Report on September Incidents

Kathmandu. The Accountability Monitoring Committee has demanded the immediate public release of the report from the 'Inquiry Commission on the Incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24'.

The committee has demanded that the overall report of the commission be made public to respect the right of the victim community, civil society, media, and the general public to be informed.

Committee Coordinator Rajupasad Chapagain issued a press release today demanding the immediate publication of the commission's report. The press release stated, "Whether or not to publish the report is not a matter of government discretion; it is a constitutionally guaranteed right of the general public to receive information about the report, and it is the government's duty to bring the investigation report into the public domain as soon as possible."
