Nepal Police Club and Tribhuvan Army Club Reach Final of Jay Trophy Elite Cup Cricket Tournament

Kathmandu. The final matchup for the two-day Jay Trophy Elite Cup Cricket Tournament, organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), has been finalized. Nepal Police Club and Tribhuvan Army Club have advanced to the final from the group stage of the tournament currently underway in Kathmandu.

The final clash for the title between these two departmental teams will take place in a three-day format from Chaitra 3 to Chaitra 5 at the Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground in Kathmandu. This tournament, which began on Falgun 8, has revitalized long-format cricket in Nepal.

Meanwhile, the date and venue for the prestigious domestic tournament of Nepali cricket, the Prime Minister's Cup Men's One-Day National Cricket Tournament, have also been set. According to the annual program of the National Sports Council, this year's Prime Minister's Cup will be held from Chaitra 7 to Baishakh 4, 2083 BS. This tournament will primarily be hosted in two cities of Madhesh Province: Parsa and Janakpur.

To make the tournament more effective, some matches will also be played at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground and the Upper Mulpani Cricket Ground in Kathmandu, informed CAN Spokesperson Chumbi Lama. This tournament, featuring top talents from across the country, is considered the foundation of Nepali cricket.
