Weather Update: High-Pressure System and Trough Affecting Nepal's Atmosphere

Kathmandu. Currently, Nepal is under the partial influence of a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere and a low-pressure trough near the eastern parts of the country.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, along with the hilly and Himalayan regions of Lumbini Province, are generally cloudy. The remaining hilly regions are partly cloudy. Some areas in the Terai region are experiencing fog.

On Monday, Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, along with the hilly and Himalayan regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, will generally be cloudy. The remaining areas will be partly cloudy.

There is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms and snowfall in a few places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in one or two places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
