Tanahu –A person was killed in a road mishap at Vyas municipality-14 in Tanahu district today.
The deceased has been identified as Dan Bahadur Thakuri, 50, of Devghat rural municipality-2.
The accident took place when a bus (Ga 1 Kha 3701) heading towards Damauli from Saranghat of Tanahu fell some 20 meters off the road.
Similarly, seven persons were injured in the incident. Of them, condition of three-- Chudamani Gharti, 16, and Nar Bahadur Roka, 30 of Tribeni rural municipality-5 of Salyan district and Dilmaya Ale, 25, of Shukla Gandaki
municipality-10 is critical and they have been referred to Pokhara-based Manipal Hospital from Damauli Hospital.
Others, who received minor injuries, have been receiving treatment at Damauli Hospital. Police have arrested the bus driver and started investigation into the case.
