Rastriya Swatantra Party's Dr. Madhav Bahadur Thapa Elected to House of Representatives from Palpa-2

Palpa. Dr. Madhav Bahadur Thapa of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Palpa-2. According to the final vote count of the House of Representatives election held last Thursday, he won by securing 26,736 votes.

His closest competitor, Himaldutta Shrestha of the Nepali Congress, received 12,992 votes, informed Keshav Parajuli, Assistant Election Officer and spokesperson for the Chief Election Officer's office.

Similarly, Thakur Prasad Gaire of CPN (UML) received 10,503 votes, Som Prasad Pandey of the Communist Party of Nepal received 5,288 votes, and Dev Prasad Shrestha of National Republic Nepal received 693 votes, informed Assistant Election Officer Parajuli, spokesperson for the Chief Election Officer's office. In the previous election here, Thakur Gaire of UML was victorious.
