Iran Claims Major Strikes Against US Bases in Middle East, Escalating Regional Tensions

Kathmandu. Iran claimed on Saturday to have launched a major attack targeting US military bases in Israel and the Middle East, further escalating tensions as the regional conflict enters its second week.

According to a statement issued by the Iranian military, the Iranian navy targeted US military bases and strategic locations in Israel in a 'large wave' of attacks. This information was released through Iran's official news agency.

The statement mentioned that the Al-Minhad military base in the United Arab Emirates and another US military base in Kuwait were targeted. It was also claimed that a strategic structure in Israel was hit in the attack.

Later, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also announced an attack on the Al-Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates. According to the semi-official news agency, the targets of the attack included the US air warfare center, satellite communication center, early warning radar, and fire control radars.

The widespread war in the Middle East began on Falgun 16, when the US and Israel conducted airstrikes in Iran. Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in that attack.

Since then, Iran has reportedly been carrying out missile and other attacks targeting US interests in Israel and across the region.
