Vote Counting Begins in Makwanpur for House of Representatives Election

Makwanpur. Vote counting has begun in Makwanpur for the House of Representatives election. The counting, which was scheduled to start at 10:30 AM, began a little late. The counting is taking place in two buildings of Bhutandevi Secondary School located in Hetauda-4.

Geeta Shrestha, the Chief Election Officer for Makwanpur Constituency Number-2, informed that the counting for this constituency has started. According to her, preparations are underway for the counting of Makwanpur-1, which will commence shortly.

A total of 59 percent voting was recorded in both constituencies of Makwanpur. According to the District Election Office, Makwanpur, out of the total voter population of 315,334 in the district, 186,551 votes were cast. In Makwanpur, 96,634 men cast their votes, while 89,912 women cast their ballots. Five others participated in the voting.

In Makwanpur Constituency Number-1, a total of 95,310 votes were cast, comprising 47,670 men, 47,636 women, and four others. Similarly, in Makwanpur-2, 91,241 votes were cast, consisting of 48,964 men, 42,276 women, and 1 other.
