Manang District to Use Helicopter for Ballot Box Collection in Remote Narpa Bhumi Rural Municipality

Pokhara. Ballot boxes from Manang district, a region beyond the Himalayas, will be collected by helicopter. Chief Election Officer Ram Prasad Paudel informed that ballot boxes from the geographically remote Narpa Bhumi Rural Municipality will be brought in by helicopter.

Although there was a plan to transport the ballot boxes via helicopter immediately after voting concluded today, they will now only be brought tomorrow morning due to the unavailability of a helicopter.

‘If the helicopter had been here, it would have been possible today, but since it is in Butwal, we can only bring the ballot boxes tomorrow morning,’ he said.

The ballot boxes from Narpa Bhumi will be airlifted twice by helicopter. Ballot boxes from accessible areas and the lower and upper regions with road access are scheduled to be brought to the district headquarters by vehicle by 9 PM tonight.
