Voting Underway Peacefully Across Sudurpashchim Province

Dhangadhi. Voting has been proceeding peacefully in Sudurpashchim Province since 7 AM. Voters have been arriving at polling stations since early morning across all 16 constituencies of the province to exercise their right to vote.

According to Premraj Bhatta, Chief of the Provincial Election Office, the voting process began an hour earlier at 2,199 polling centers across 1,176 polling stations throughout the province. This province has a total of 1,716,000 registered voters.

Security arrangements have been tightened across the province to ensure the election is fair and free from fear. Based on security sensitivity, 481 polling stations and 985 polling centers in the province have been listed as 'highly sensitive.' Similarly, 395 polling stations have been designated as 'sensitive.'

Heavy deployment of security personnel, including the Nepali Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police, has been made in highly sensitive and sensitive areas. The administration stated that security agencies have been kept on high alert to prevent any untoward incidents.

Voting will continue until 5 PM today. Separate queues have also been arranged at the centers to facilitate voting for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, the sick, and new mothers.
