US Military Claims Destruction of at Least 17 Iranian Vessels in Ongoing Operation

Washington D.C. The US military has claimed that at least 17 Iranian vessels have been destroyed in the ongoing military operation against Iran. Admiral Brad Cooper, Commander of US forces in the Middle East, provided this information on Tuesday through a publicly released video message.

In a message posted on the social media platform X, he described the US action as a seamless surgical strike, stating that extensive attacks are being carried out using B-2 and B-1 bombers. According to him, among the destroyed vessels is an active Iranian submarine, which sustained significant damage.

“In simple terms, we are targeting every asset capable of striking us,” Cooper stated. “We are sinking the Iranian Navy itself,” he added. According to Cooper, Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), this operation has been ongoing for four days under ‘Operation Epic Fury.’ US defense officials have stated that the primary goal of the campaign is to destroy Iran's naval capabilities.

Cooper stated that over 50,000 US troops and more than 200 combat aircraft are involved in this operation. He also mentioned that more than 2,000 weapons have been fired at approximately 2,000 targets so far. 

Meanwhile, Cooper stated that Iran has already launched more than 500 ballistic missiles and over 2,000 drones in retaliation for the US and Israeli attacks. However, he claimed that Tehran's attack capability is gradually weakening.
