Smoke Reported at US Embassy in Kuwait City Amid Security Warnings

Smoke was seen rising from the premises of the US Embassy in Kuwait City on Monday, according to eyewitnesses cited by Reuters. Fire trucks and ambulances were also reported to have arrived near the embassy.

Meanwhile, the embassy has warned its citizens in Kuwait about the threat of missiles and drones. The statement read, 'The US Embassy in Kuwait urges American citizens in Kuwait to stay in secure locations, review security plans in the event of an attack, and remain vigilant about the possibility of further attacks in the future.'

The embassy statement also mentioned that its staff members are staying in secure locations. The embassy had also issued a security alert, advising people not to go near the embassy and to stay in safe places due to the ongoing threat of missile and drone (UAV) attacks on Kuwait.
